Newport Chamber Dinner

The Cocke County Partnership held their annual banquet & celebration on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center. The Cocke County Partnership celebrated the 10th anniversary of the organization.  ‘What a Difference a Decade Makes’ was the theme for this year’s annual banquet. They recognized those who have come before us in our community to form the Partnership and also reflected on the milestones of the organization over the past 10 years. In attendance from our AccuForce team pictured above are Jorge Martinez, Dreama Parsons and Crystal Hunley. AccuForce is happy to be a part of making businesses successful in Cocke County!

red shoe gala kingsport

On Saturday night, February 15, 2014, CASA of Kingsport hosted their annual Red Shoe Gala at the Meadowview Convention Center. Pictured above from left to right are Lisa Gibson, Kim Muncy and Paris Hooke from our AccuForce team and were there to help raise money for the cause!

CASA for Kids Inc. is a wonderful organization that advocates for the best interests of neglected and abused children. The gala helps to raise funds for that mission and is the organization’s biggest fund-raiser of the year! The event features a silent auction and a “red shoe” contest for the best red shoes of the event.

This year the very first CASA child who is now 17 was there to share her story. Thanks to Kim, Lisa and Paris for attending and being a part of such a wonderful effort to help children in our area!

AccuForce’s Stephanie Young, pictured 2nd from the left, and other Leadership Catawba team members surprised the Conover School and presented Phyllis Pegram, Principal of Conover School, with a $1,000 check from funds that were raised to support the courtyard renovation for the school.

Priscilla Palmisano, Assistant Principal of Conover School noted “Leadership Catawba has recognized the needs of Conover School for two years. Last year, they were able to refresh our memorial garden. This year, they were able to give our students a beautiful, relaxing, and accessible outdoor learning environment. The students and staff are grateful for their hard work and we look forward to furthering our partnership in the future.”

Way to go Stephanie and for all of your hard work to help make our communities a wonderful place to be!
